Whether you are looking for a career as a financial planner, a marketing manager, an athletic team manager or an accountant, the Walker School of Business at Mercyhurst College offers a program that will fit your goals and interests.

Mercyhurst College business degree programs are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

You can choose to major in accounting, business, or international business, and can tailor your degree with one of eight concentrations: business competitive intelligence, business/computer/information technology K-12 certification, business economics finance, human resources management management, marketing, and sport business management. All of these programs combine Mercyhurst's liberal arts foundation with an emphasis on analytical thinking, written, quantitative and verbal communication skills.

All major programs require 28 credits of common business core courses which provide you with an exposure to fundamental business functions, including marketing, accounting, economics, finance, law and business etiquette. Students in all three majors come together in their senior year to complete their degree requirements with a team-based capstone course in Business Policy and Strategy.

The Walker School of Business is proud to have many non-traditional age students in its programs. It may be to your advantage to contact the Adult College if you are four or more years out of high school or you need flexible course scheduling because you are raising a family. The Adult College provides admission, academic advising, registration, and reduced tuition to qualified students.

All Walker School of Business students must maintain a GPA of 2.75 in required business courses in order to meet graduation requirements. Students who earn less than a "C" in a required business course must repeat the course. These requirements also apply to the two mathematics courses that are required for all business majors. No required business courses may be taken on a pass-fail basis.
